Minor Project // Arnold - Texture Progress

Similar to my previous post, there are still refinements to be made. This includes the refinement of the Sub Surface Scattering.

  1. Hi Polly. Seems like your lighting is very 'hot'. Generally, you only need two to thr ee lights. A skydome light (global/world mid light), a directional light (key/sun), and a a second directional light (rim light / from behind). For the first two these are the settings...

    Skydome (global/World):
    Colour: Optional HDR dome or just keep it white.
    Intensity = 0.2/0.3
    Exposure = 1

    Directional light (Key/Sun):
    Exposure = 1 - 1.2
    Angle = 1 - 3
    Samples 3

    Also make sure that the 'weight' (under the Base tab on a aiStandardSurface Shaders) is set to 0.8 (not 1).
